‘Keep this sweet child
Wrapped deep in your love
May their soul fill your way
Like a hand fills a glove
Cherish their life
To be healthy and long
May their heart not break
May their spirit be strong
Show them the joy
That Your world has to give
Touch them with strength
To not wither,but live
Each day on their path
You’ve laid out before them
Your peace to embrace them
No lies to implore them
Teach them to love
Teach them to know
Your natures forgiving
To help them to grow
To be what is needed
To have a sound soul
Let their eyes remain childlike
Their wisdom be whole
May they be gracious and giving
And gentle and kind
Righteous in body
In spirit, in mind
But mostly dear Lord,
Keep them safe in Your palm
Enfold them with love
And protect them from harm’
